Back when I thought I loved you,
I was like a completely different person:

my anger had melted into indifference
my sarcasm idled in neutral,
and I actually found myself becoming
mildly amused by things like flowers and sunsets;
I even began contemplating writing
somewhat 'gentler' poems
to prove that I, indeed, had a heart
and that the world wasn't really
that bad of a place...

but then you ended up completely
fucking me over
and the sky grew dark,
the flowers curled up and died
and I was back in top form
