Aftermath of Vehement Argument #1,068

It's like the shower rod that
keeps falling down
you just keep putting up with it;
you don't fix it or replace it,
you just put it back up whenever it
crashes down onto the floor
and sometimes you look at it sadly,
lying amidst a cold, useless heap
of crumpled vinyl and mildew on the
worn and cracked linoleum,
trying to ignore the rips and the tears,
the years of use and how it's lost its purpose,
trying not to keep track of how many times
it's been hastily stuck back up
in lieu of making a change,
getting a new one;
starting
